Writer's Blockade

Any writer ever give a script away and not be involved in any aspect of the making of the film and as a result the first time they saw or knew anything about the film was at the premiere screening? Although this is probably a rare occurrence, if it's happened to anyone it probably would make for a very interesting experience.

Anyone want to share what it was like or know someone who did this?

Not to that extent, I was allowed on set and did get to see early cuts of the film, and I was involved in re-drafts etc.

You're right- a very interesting experience and enlightening. The strangest thing- walking on set and seeing the 'characters' that I'd created! It was great- I'd recommend it to everyone.
